As you know, I took a little trip last weekend for some alone time to Shaw Island in the San Juans. That makes three islands I’ve visited thus far: San Juan Island, Orcas Island and Shaw Island. I ended up at a Benedictine Monestary called Our Lady of the Rock. Desperately needing to reflect and be away from the dings and pings of the world around me, I sat on a farm in the middle of nowhere pondering some major transitions in my life while alternating between Thoreau and fashion magazines.
It was fantastic…and not because I met this amazing llama on my walk Sunday morning.
I highly recommend you get away and unplug for a weekend.
